Higher Grenna Farm is a small holding of just a few acres situated
exactly between Truro and Falmouth, just north of the village of Perranwell,
nestling in the Cornish countryside, surrounded by footpaths and country
lanes.
It has become a haven for those wishing to escape the hustle of their busy
lives and many people return each year to enjoy the peace and total
relaxation of our barns.
Both our self catering barns sleep two and we can provide cots for babies.
They also have sofa beds to make the accommodation more adaptable.
Perfect for couples to get away from it all, enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, but also perfectly located for all that
Cornwall has to offer, whether you are after a romantic short break or longer holiday.
The Home Barn
A two storey barn conversion that we converted from the original cow shed and hay loft beside the main farm house.
The stable door opens into the tiled hall and then into a small well equipped kitchen. The bedroom has a king size bed which can be split into two 2'6" singles if preferred. The modern bathroom is also on the ground floor. We have retained as much of the stone work and original features as possible and furnished it very comfortably and in keeping with the style of the property.
Wooden stairs lead up to the light and airy living area with high vaulted ceiling, huge beams and lots of interesting features. Local information, books, maps etc are available for guests' use.
The patio doors lead out onto the sunny balcony with garden furniture and from here you have access to the large totally private garden, which is a haven for wildlife and the odd escapee chicken!
Dogs are welcome at The Home Barn.

The Granary
This Barn conversion was completed early in 2008 and was originally the grain store, it is a few fields away from our main farm house and is single story, so perfect for those with limited mobility.
Approached along its own private drive, The Granary is positioned overlooking our fields and to the valley beyond, so offers total privacy at all times.
We have designed this conversion with a more contemporary style. It has a very spacious open plan layout, with large sitting room dining area with patio doors to the terrace at the front and an adjoining modern kitchen and solid oak floors and doors throughout. There are very comfy sofas and chairs, modern oak furniture, a feature flat screen fireplace and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need.
The bathroom has a bath, toilet and hand basin and the wet room style deluge shower. With under floor heating and a fabulous view from the bath!
The bedroom has a king size bed, light oak furniture and a stable door out onto the terrace,
so on a summers morning you can lie in bed and gaze out at the view or step out to the table and chairs for breakfast!
There is a large parking and turning area, lawn, garden furniture and gorgeous views!
As The Granary is single storey we are hoping to be assessed by Visit Britain for our National Accessibility Grading.

The farm has an orchard with chickens and ducks and we keep a small
flock of sheep and a horse.
Locally there are national trust and
privately owned gardens to visit, the Eden Project, the beautiful coastline and the many historic sites in West Cornwall. Easy acess to both north
and south coasts, the coast path and the coast to coast cycle path.
