Take the opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy our lovely farmhouse, part of which dates back to the 16th century. The house is spacious and full of character with inglenook fireplaces, beams, stripped wood and slate flagged floors, and a great destination for family holidays, get-togethers and all those very special celebrations.

Treat yourselves to our home cooked farmhouse meals brought round to your dining room, enjoy a game of snooker on our slate bed table, or relax in our hot tub.

Wake up to birds singing and rolling Devon countryside, and go for a wander through our fields or walk through the country lanes with their pretty flower filled hedgerows. Make your way to nearby Bude with its breathtaking scenery and surfing beaches. Explore the surrounding countryside, coast and moors or take a trip to Eden or Clovelly. Watch our cow being milked, or visit our small animals. Pony riding is available just two miles away. Children can enjoy the play area with swings, slide and trampoline, also the games room with ball pond, and table tennis. A really warm welcome awaits everyone including children.

“Beech House” is suitable for both large and small groups and we offer special discounts for out of season weeks, short breaks and smaller groups.

Situation
Thorne Park is a 100 acre working farm situated in a beautiful part of Devon known as Ruby Country, its tranquillity, gentle rolling hills and stunning views make this an ideal location. We are just a short distance from the market town of Holsworthy, the Devon / Cornwall border is just 4 miles, and Bude 10 miles with its breathtaking scenery and surfing beaches.

Things to do
The area has numerous places to visit, including Dartmoor, historic towns, National Trust properties, arts and crafts galleries. Nearby you can play golf, go walking, riding, fishing, sailing, canoeing or windsurfing.

Accommodation
Four bedrooms, three ensuite, one four poster, bathroom, one bunk room, kitchen, lounge and dining room.

French doors lead into kitchen / breakfast room, well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave and fridge-freezer. Boot room for wellies and coats. A cosy sitting room with lovely settees and chairs has the original inglenook fireplace with bread oven, and a gas woodburner, TV, video and DVD The dining room also has a lovely inglenook fireplace with woodburner, dining / snooker table, settee and chairs, make this another relaxing room complete with TV.

Linen and towels are included, storage heaters and gas for woodburner inclusive, first £10 electricity and bag of logs included. We have plenty of parking space. The gardens are private, mainly lawn, with patio area garden furniture and BBQ.

Deposit of £100 per week is required, the remainder 1 month before your holiday.
